| Karida Griffith was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where she trained in tap, jazz, ballet and West African dance. Karida’s professional experience includes the European Tour of “Black and Blue,” principal dancer in the “Northwest Afrikan Dance Troupe,” and principal dancer in “The Beat” at the Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe. Karida was also a Radio City Rockette for several years. As a Rockette, she performed at Radio City Musical Hall in the world-famous “Christmas Spectacular,” in “Sinatra: His Voice, His World, His Way” under the direction of Des McAnuff and Casey Nicholaw, in the Tony Awards, as well as The Today Show. Karida is currently a member of “T.A.D.A.H.” as a tap dancer in the ongoing Broadway Underground series with Jared Grimes and DeWitt Fleming. Karida became a member of Barbara Duffy & Company in 2007. In her effort to be of service to young people, she is also part of the Children’s Theatre Company as a choreographer and member of its Board of Directors.
